Amy Marie Dominov

A graduate of Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island, Amy is passionate about architecture as a plinth for social interaction.  Her master thesis, the D.C. Academy of Leadership, focused on evolving the concept of "restlessness," the indefinite, flexible spirit of architecture, through the exploration of a high school dedicated to expanding the role of youth in public policy and citizenship education.  The project earned a commendation from the University in May of 2012.

A graduate project, titled "Endless Dreamscapes," appears in a recent publication by John Hendrix, Ph.D, titled The Contradiction Between Form and Function in Architecture, published by Routledge in March of 2013. The same project was chosen to be displayed as one of the top 23 entrants in an international competition sponsered by suckerpunchdaily.com, an online architectural publication.  In tandem with firm HAI Architecture Inc. of Northampton, MA, Amy competed in the design of a Narrow Lot home, sponsored by the city of Northampton, to promote architectural design within the community. The firm's work was displayed with the competition entrants in the APE Gallery in November of 2013.

Amy was inducted into the Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society in Architecture and Allied Arts in the Spring of 2010.  In May of 2012, Amy was awarded the AIA Henry Adams Certificate of Merit for her graduate thesis design work. She looks forward to further applying her design skills and creative techniques towards a future in architecture.
